Mike got his start working in his family retail gun and archery shop in NC growing up. He also worked in the family outfitting businesses. After graduating from ECU in 2003. Mike managed a hunting plantation in SC for five years. During his stay in SC Mike started Southern Outdoor Experience TV and hosted SOE for 6 years. In 2007 Mike moved to Texas and started SOE Hunts, his family’s Texas based outfitting operation. In 2009 Mike and Jamie made the big decision to start their current show Savage Outdoors and the rest is history. Many of you might know Jamie as “Dr. Jamie”. That’s right Jamie has been practicing medicine for more than 20 years! Jamie met Mike in 2005 after hunting at Mike’s lodge in SC as a client. Jamie and his son Jacob loved to hunt together. Jamie did not grow up as a hunter, but was really brought to the sport by his son’s interest in the Outdoors! We normally talk about take a kid hunting and fishing so the next generation can enjoy the great outdoors, but Jamie’s son did that for his dad! After Mike and Jamie became fast friends, Jamie joined on to SOE TV and the guys have been working hard to put together some of the best big game footage on The Sportsman Channel ever since. |

A native of Spearfish, South Dakota, Nick Mundt has lived, loved and breathed hunting since he was a young boy. A barber by trade, Nick’s considerable talents in the outdoors led to a second career as a licensed hunting guide in Wyoming, where he was discovered by Realtree. Nick became a field camera operator for Realtree, which led to his longtime friendship with Michael Waddell and his becoming a part of the “Bone Collector” phenomenon. Nick has hunted in more than 15 states, and across three continents. When he’s not spreading the culture of the Hunter at speaking engagements and appearances around the world, Nick spends his time in his native South Dakota, honing his skills, enjoying the country lifestyle and occasionally cranking out a karaoke tune or two. Above all, Nick takes every opportunity to share with all who will listen why hunting and outdoor life is important, and how hunting morals and values are the bedrock of our culture. |

Over the past 20 years, Travis Turner has gone from the fun-loving "T-Bone" to one of the most respected archers in the outdoor industry. He’s earned his status as an ASA and APA Pro shooter, winning the 1991 ASA World Championship and several state titles. He’s also an expert craftsman who made a name for himself working on bows for the biggest names in the business, including Realtree’s Bill Jordan and David Blanton. Through his years as a pro and as owner and manager of one of Georgia’s largest archery shops, Travis learned the ins and outs of the hunting industry. As a result of his hard work and passion for the outdoors, Travis has become a leading personality in the industry and one of the most popular hosts in outdoor television. When he is not hunting with the Bone Collector crew or spreading the culture of the Hunter at special events around the globe, Travis can be found at his home in Hogansville, GA, with his wife Michelle and their son, Archer. |
